Excess Deaths in Canada Across All Age Groups Up by an Estimated 75% in 2022 Compared to 2021.

The Justice Center for Constitutional Freedoms conducted a comprehensive study, analyzing provisional June 2023 data from Statistics Canada, and made a significant revelation: Excess deaths in Canada surged by an estimated 75 percent in 2022 when compared to the previous year, across all age groups. The report reveals a total of 38,500 excess deaths in 2022. Notably, only 16,300 of these deaths were attributed to COVID-19, accounting for less than half. In the combined years of 2020 and 2021, there were 38,300 excess deaths, with 30,500 attributed to COVID-19. Amidst this concerning trend, it was observed that excess mortality rates were particularly pronounced among two age groups: Canadians aged 0-44 and 45-64. What might be even more troubling is the classification of 24 percent of the deaths recorded in 2022 as “information unavailable” or “ill-defined or unknown cause.” These categories should prompt significant questions about the underlying factors contributing to these fatalities and warrant a deeper exploration and explanation.
