Trump won the popular and electoral college; he has the support of the American people.

The “Hands Off” protests are fighting against the people’s will. They are the ones who are trying to overturn the democratic process. The ultimate goal is to tear down our republic and replace it with the administrative state. Together with the NGOs, they are directly threatened by the ferreting out of corruption and waste in the government by DOGE and Trump’s White House.

We will have an affordable government either by design or by financial collapse. The choice for that smaller government is between a total collapse or a careful restructuring (DOGE).

There was a great article published in the Daily Signal today – it is worth everyone’s time to read:

“I once stood within the halls of academia, benefiting from the generous funding of the National Institutes of Health. I was part of the system, a researcher fueled by grants that were supposed to propel scientific progress.

But after years inside the machine, I have come to a sobering conclusion: The NIH is fundamentally broken and morally corrupted. Corruption, waste, and fraud are not occasional lapses but systemic failures. The agency must be gutted and reformed if we are to salvage scientific integrity.

One of the most damning indictments against the NIH is the reproducibility crisis. Science is supposed to be built on verifiable, repeatable results, yet the vast majority of research funded by the NIH fails this basic test.

A widely cited survey in the journal Nature found that a staggering 70% of scientists surveyed reported failing to reproduce published research. Worse still, in a landmark study by Dr. Glenn Begley, only 11% of oncology studies that were reviewed could be replicated—meaning that 89% of these supposedly groundbreaking cancer studies were essentially worthless.

This is a fascinating interview – and worth watching in its entirety. It is 40 minutes long and decidedly not funny, but important.

The UK has gone barking mad…

UK Home Office Knife Ban

The UK Home Office has implemented several measures to address knife crime, including a ban on home deliveries of knives ordered online. Under new proposals, anyone buying a knife online will need to submit photo ID at the point of sale and again upon delivery. Companies will only be able to deliver knives to the person who bought them, and it will be illegal to leave a package containing a bladed weapon on a doorstep when no one is present. Additionally, the Offensive Weapons Act of 2019 made it illegal to possess certain dangerous knives, such as flick knives, even in private.

The Home Office has also proposed banning the sale of long pointed kitchen knives, as these are often used in stabbing incidents. Furthermore, the government is considering banning the sale of knives to individuals under 18 and expanding the ban on possessing offensive weapons to cover educational institutions beyond schools. These measures aim to reduce the availability of knives and thus decrease the incidence of knife crimes.
